A third firing incident has been reported at popular comedian Kapil Sharma’s KAP’s Café in Surrey, Canada, escalating concerns over repeated attacks on the Bollywood celebrity’s overseas venture. The café, which opened earlier this year, has now been targeted three times within a span of just four months, though no casualties have been reported so far.
Third Shooting at KAP’s Café: Attackers Release Video Clip
According to reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at the café from a moving vehicle late Tuesday night. A video clip shared on social media shows an individual firing multiple rounds from a revolver toward the café’s glass-fronted façade. The shots shattered windows and damaged parts of the property, but staff members and customers inside escaped unharmed.
Shortly after the incident, two men — Kulvir Sidhu and Goldy Dhillon, alleged associates of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi — claimed responsibility for the attack. Their social media post, written in Punjabi, included the video footage and a warning directed at individuals from the Bollywood and Punjabi entertainment industry.
Warning Message and Motive Behind the Attacks
In the statement, the accused said they had “no enmity with the public” but issued a stern warning to Bollywood celebrities against making remarks “against religion.” The message suggested that the attack was meant as a symbolic warning rather than a targeted assassination attempt.
Law enforcement agencies in Canada have reportedly taken cognizance of the video and are working with Surrey RCMP’s Organized Crime Unit to authenticate the footage and identify the shooters. Investigators are also coordinating with Indian law enforcement agencies to determine any cross-border links to the Bishnoi gang, which has previously issued threats to several Bollywood figures.
Pattern of Violence: Earlier Attacks on KAP’s Café
This latest shooting marks the third armed attack on Kapil Sharma’s café since its inauguration.
The first incident occurred on July 9, 2025, when unidentified men fired multiple rounds at the establishment during the night.
The second attack followed on August 8, 2025, causing minor damage to property.
In both previous instances, no arrests were made, and investigations were ongoing when the most recent firing took place.
