Punjab Police has booked AAP Punjab president and MP Bhagwant Mann, LoP Harpal Singh Cheema, Youth Wing President Meet Hayer MLA and 20 others by name and 200 unidentified leaders and workers of AAP for violations during a protest staged by AAP Punjab.
The protest led by Bhagwant Mann was held in the district which tried to proceed towards the Siswan farmhouse, the private residence of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
AAP had staged the protest against the power crisis due to the ‘failure of the government’.
SSP Satinder Singh said that a FIR No. 93 has been registered at PS Mullanpur on July 3, 2021 under section 188 IPC and 51 (A) of Disaster Management Act.
The 23 persons named in the FIR are as under:
