Exodus of over 4 lakh youth from Punjab during last 4 years ample proof of failure of Congress Govt: Romana

Chandigarh, March 27, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Youth Akali Dal President Mr. Parmbans Singh Romana today said that exodus of over 4 lakh youth during last four years is ample proof of utter failure of the Amarinder Singh led Congress government in providing jobs to youth under its slogan of ghar ghar naukri.

Addressing a meeting of newly appointed office bearers of the YAD, Mr. Parmbans Singh Romana said that over 4 lakh youth left Punjab in search of jobs abroad since this government to power.

He said that though over 2 lakh youth went abroad on study visa but actually they went in search of jobs. Apart from these another over 2 lakh more went abroad after getting immigration from different countries. Quoting figures of youth who went abroad on study visas, Mr. Romana said that 52160 youth left Punjab in 2017, 60331 in 2018, 73574 in 2019, 33412 in 2020 and 5791 youth had already left state in 2021 till now. He said that Union External affairs Minister of state has provided this data in Lok Sabha.

He said that on one hand youth is under depression and tension due to non availability of jobs in state and on the other the Congress government is enacting drama of job fairs by hijacking job fairs of private colleges. He said that it is known to everyone that these colleges were already organizing job fairs on their campuses on yearly basis and the Government has nothing to do with these fairs.

YAD President said that not only ghar ghar naukri proved only a misleading slogan coined by Poll strategist Prashant Kishor but all his other slogans including those named after legend Bhagat Singh also provide complete non starters. He said that the Congress government had committed a heinous crime by naming schemes like the Rozgar Sirjan Yojna in honour of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. He said the schemes which included promises to give loans of Rs 5 lakh to youth to start their own enterprises (Yaari Enterprises) besides Apni Gaddi Apna Rozgar and Hara Tractor scheme which promised vehicles and 25,000 tractors to youth on easy installments remained non starters.

Mr. Romana said that Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal are directly responsible for sorry state of affairs and the YAD will not let them run away after making false promises in their elections manifesto.

YAD President also announced extension of Punjab Mangda Jawab rallies and said that YAD will hold rallies in every assembly segment. He said that similar rally will be held at Dhuri on March 28 and Gurdaspur on March 30.

Others prominent who attended the meeting included Sarbjot Singh Sabi, Gurinderpal Singh Ranike, Jodh Singh Samra, Simranjit Singh Dhillon, Ranbir Singh Lopoke, Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra, Sukhman Sidhu, Sukhinder Singh Sonu Langah, Kanwalpreet Singh Kaki and Sukhdeep Singh shukar besides others.
