Dedicated towards the women empowerment and upliftment of Punjabi culture, ‘Eqbal Inn Ladies Club’ celebrated ‘Teej Patiale Di’ here at the premises of hotel Eqbal Inn in Patiala.
Near about 300 women members from in and out of city of ‘Eqbal Inn Ladies Club’ have participated under the chairmanship of S.Kamalpreet Singh Sethi, Managing Director of hotel Eqbal Inn.
While talking to media persons Sh. Sethi told that Eqbal Inn ladies club have been provided the opportunities to its members for social and cultural upliftment from the very beginning. Our club is dedicated towards the women empowerment by organising such events in which they use to learn the sisterhood on one side and getting buisness and job opportunities on the other side.
In today’s scenario, female’s basic responsibility is to take care of her home and family, on the other side they have to contribute to uplift the economy of the family either by helping her husband in buisness or by doing jobs.
In all these busy schedules, females want to charging up their lives. In that regard, Eqbal Inn Ladies club provide them such platforms where they gets altogether a new start by participating in cultural events.In which they not only learn their old punjabi traditions rather they implement in their routine lives.
On this special occasion of teej , Eqbal Inn Ladies Club has organised punjabi folk dances based on this festival and lok khedan events, women with punjabi traditional attires like phulkari, praande and tikkas have participated in all the events, old traditional punjabi eatery items like kheer poore, maal poore etc were also served. Mrs. Dimpy Sethi (wife of Sh. Kamal Preet Singh Sethi) and Seeba Sethi gifted Sandhaaras to the participants.
