Ecuador Ambassador Hector Gonzalo Cueva Jacome pays obeisance at Sri Harmandar Sahib

Ecuador’s Ambassador to India Hector Gonzalo Cueva Jacome paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib on Saturday. He was accompanied by his wife Mrs Toya, president of Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) S. Manpreet Singh Nagi and Punjab convener S. Iqbaljit Singh Dhillon.

Jacome listened to Gurbani Kirtan and got information about the places located at Sri Harmandar Sahib complex.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Ecuador was received and honoured at the Information Center of Sri Harmandar Sahib by the SGPC general secretary Adv Bhagwant Singh Sialka, OSD Dr Amrik Singh Latifpur and information officer S. Jaswinder Singh Jassi.

After paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, Ecuadorian Ambassador Hector Cueva met the SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur at the SGPC office and discussed the need to uplift the Punjabi and especially the Sikh community in Ecuador.

Bibi Jagir Kaur briefed him about Sikh religion and the contribution and achievements of Sikhs across the country and the world.

SGPC president informed the Ambassador that the SGPC, as a democratic body of the Sikh community, represents the Sikhs of the world and raises its voice wherever the Sikhs face any difficulty.

On the occasion, Ambassador Hector Gonzalo Cueva Jacome said that by paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, he felt a sense of complete peace and purity. He was impressed by the brief information given by SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur about Sikhism and said that it was indeed the special information.

On this occasion SGPC general secretary Adv Bhagwant Singh Sialka, member Bhai Manjit Singh, S. Amarjit Singh Bandala, S. Sawinder Singh Sabharwal, S. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, S. Sukhminder Singh, S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, S. Tejinder Singh Padda, S. Simarjit Singh, OSD Dr Amrik Singh Latifpur, Dr Sukhbir Singh, S. Jaswinder Singh Jassi, S. Malkit Singh Baherwal, S. Sukha Singh and others were present.
