O P Soni, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today inaugurated the New PSA Oxygen Plant in Christian Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana today. The Project has been driven by the untiring efforts of Rahul Ahuja, Former President, CIl and Ashpreet Sahni, Chairman, CIl, Ludhiana Zone.
The event was hosted jointly by Christian Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CIl) in the Guy N. Constable Auditorium at CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana. OP Soni, Deputy CM graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
While speaking on the occasion, he lauded the efforts of CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana in serving the people of Punjab and the neighbouring states for nearly 127 years. He highlighted the role of CMC in the field of Medical education & health care among the masses.
O. P. Soni appreciated Cll for their timely support to medical fraternity by setting up this oxygen plant which is the need of the hour considering the present Covid pandemic.
He recognized the missionary spirit of the doctors and staff of CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana. He appreciated the efforts of the CII and made a special mention of the PSA Oxygen generator project which has been spearheaded by Rahul Ahuja & Ashpreet Sahni.
The other esteemed guests included Surinder Dawar, MLA- Central Ldh and Kuldeep Singh Vaid, MLA Gill.
Dr. S. P Singh, Civil Surgeon, Rahul Ahuja, Former President, CIl Punjab State Council, Ashpreet Sahni, Chairman CIl Ldh Zone, Neeraj Satija, Former Chairman CIl Punjab State Council, Amit Thapar, Vice Chairman CIl, Punjab also graced the occasion.
Amit Thapar Vice Chairman CIl, Punjab State Council, acknowledged the contribution of CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana in the field of education & healthcare. He looked forward to a very fruitful association with CMC in the future.
Dr. William Bhatti expressed his deep gratitude to CIl for their constant support over the last several years. He mentioned that the New Pectherm Pressure Swing Adsorption Oxygen Generator was the need of the hour considering the possibility of the third Covid wave. This oxygen plant generates 500 L / Min and has been connected to the ICU and Covid Wards in CMCH.
The inauguration was attended by the donors of the CIl Oxygen Plant project along with City VIPs, CMCL Administration, Faculty and Staff.
