After giving accommodation for doctors of Delhi in its sarais (Inns) ,the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) will now hand over Guru Tegh Bahadur Yatri Niwas for Doctors of Amritsar.
In a statement released here today, the DSGMC President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa disclosed that authorities at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital Amritsar have approached DSGMC urging it to provide accommodation at Guru Tegh Bahadur Yatri Niwas situated at Sashtri Nagar in the city. He said that DSGMC has readily acceded to their demand and it will provide this accommodation for doctors.
He said that this facility will be used as a quarantine facility for doctors only. He said that Hospital authorities have assured that only healthy doctors will be quarantined in this complex.
Mr. Sirsa said that responsibility for regular sanitization will rest with hospital authorities and they will also make arrangements of security. He said that we pray to almighty for healthy life of doctors and their speedy recovery so that we all together can fight this war with the invisible enemy.
The DSGMC President also informed that the DSGMC has already provided accommodation for doctors of AIIMS, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Lady Hardinge hospital in Delhi and it is also providing them food and fulfilling all other basic requirements He said that apart from it the DSGMC is regularly doing sewa of providing food to more than one lakh people in Delhi. He said that we will do everything possible in service of humanity.
