DSGMC to adopt 550 needy students on occasion of 550th Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev ji

New Delhi, May 22, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that on the occasion of 550th Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev ji the committee will adopt 550 poor and needy students. The committee will take care of their entire expenditure of their education.

Sirsa said that this decision was taken in special meeting of the DSGMC.

He said that students will be adopted on the basis of their economic condition and their other needs. Parents of such students should be “Amirtdhari”. The students should not be the schools run by the DSGMC and their CGPA should not be less than 7.5.

He said that students should come to study in any class.

The DSGMC president said that an education committee has been formed to adopt these students. The committee will make an enquiry of the students whether they are poor and needful.

Sirsa said that Kulbhushan Chadha, Balbir Singh Kohli, S. M.M. Pal Singh Goldi, Prithipal Singh Sahni, and Sukhdev Singh Rayat are members of the committee.

He said that the decision to adopt poor and needy students for education has been taken with the advice of known personalities of Delhi. Of these known personalities five have been taken in education committee.

Besides Sirsa, the meeting was attended by General Secretary Harmeet Singh Kalka, Bibi Ranjit Kaur, Kulwant Singh Baath, Harvinder Singh KP and Hardyal Singh.
