DSGMC Polls: Election Result for Preet Vihar Gurdwara Ward likely to be declared on Nov 30

Election result of Delhi’s Preet Vihar Gurdwara Ward No. 46 can be announced by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court on coming 30th November.

Mr. Inder Mohan Singh, Expert in Delhi Gurdwara Affairs who was present in the yesterday’s re-counting process as Special Representative said that during the process of re-counting of 2776 valid votes done by the Director Gurdwara Elections Mr Narinder Singh under the observation of Justice Jayant Nath, retired Justice of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court under heavy police deployment, Mangal Singh of JAGO Party gained 2 more votes thereby increasing his total votes obtained to 919 whereas the votes procured by Bhupinder Singh Bhullar remained as 923.

Inder Mohan SinghHe said that during the entire re-counting both the candidates and their Counsels Nagendra Benipal and Sushant Garg also remained present. He said that there was a total of 7 candidates in this Ward for which 11 Polling Stations were set up to cast the votes.

Mr Inder Mohan Singh said that in the next hearing scheduled for November 30, 2021 it is expected that 131 invalid votes already declared by the concerned Returning Officer along with 5 votes challenged during yesterday’s re-counting process will be examined and thereafter result can be declared.

Inder Mohan Singh said that in this matter the interim Orders passed by the Karkardooma District Court restraining Mr Bhullar not to exercise his voting rights in the forthcoming Co-option process and also in the election of the Executive Board of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) will continue.
