After remaining close for more than 20 years, Bala Sahib Hosptial in National Capital region started its operation with inauguration of India’s biggest Kidney dialysis hospital named after Panth Ratan Baba Harbans Singh ji by Baba Bachan Singh ji, in Gurudwara Bala Sahib complex here today. This will be a 24X7 facility for the people.
Before formal inauguration Ardas was performed by Giani Ranjit Singh Head Granthi Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
Giani Ranjit Singh Jathedar Takht Sri Patna Sahib, The DSGMC President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Jathedar Avtar Singh Hit President Takht Patna Sahib Gurudwara Management Committee, DSGMC General Secretary Harmeet Singh Kalka, Senior leader Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, Bibi Ranjit Kaur Senior Vice President and other office bearers besides Rajinder Singh Chadha, Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and host of other dignitaries besides large number of public was present on the occasion.
Disclosing more about this project, Mr. Sirsa and Mr Kalka said that it is a proud moment for the whole Sikh community particularly DSGMC which has successfully planned and executed this project which is country’s biggest kidney dialysis hospital. They said that 101 patients can get their dialysis done simultaneously in this hospital and it can cater to 500 patients daily. They also said that soon its capacity will be increased to 1000 beds from present 101 beds.
They said that one of the major achievement is that all services are being provided totally free in this most technically advanced hospital. There is no billing or payment counter. They said that besides that Guru Ka Langar will be served to patients and their attendants.
They said that DSGMC will take services from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from corporate houses and from those who are willing to contribute for such initiatives and various government schemes. They said that any patient will not have to pay any money for treatment in this hospital.
They said that renown doctor of the nation who are already in field of dialysis will handle management at this kidney dialysis hospital.
Mr. Sirsa and Mr. Kalka said that though DSGMC body of Sikh community owns this project but this is open for people of every religion and anybody can get his/her dialysis done in this hospital. He said that the DSGMC works on the teaching of Guru Sahib who have taught that all human being are creation of one god.
Speaking on the occasion, Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said on the occasion that we were seeing this building for last 20 years but were surprised that Sikh community is known for completing its projects but this project were lingering on but we were very happy to learn yesterday that a unique hospital where there will be no cash counter will launch services.
He said that such work can be done only by Sikh community. He said that when Mohinder Singh Tikait used to say that langar that is served is Gurudwara that should be served during agitations also. He lauded role of Gurudwara Sahibs of Delhi to serve langar to agitating farmers in Delhi since long time.
It is worth mentioning here that Giani Harpreet Singh Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib had visited this facility and after taking assessment of the project he had stated that he feel proud that the DSGMC organization of his Sikh community is all set to launch country’s biggest kidney dialysis hospital.
He had also lauded establishment of polyclinic at Guru Harkrishan polyclinic which will provide cheapest MRI, CT Scan, Ultra sound and other medical facilities in Gurudwara Bangal Sahib complex. Giani Harpreet Singh had also called upon other to follow suit and establish medical facilities within complexes of Gurudwara Sahiban. Today Giani Ranjit Singh also lauded efforts of the DSGSMC particularly establishing this biggest kidney dialysis hospital.
Mr. Sirsa and Mr. Kalka said that we had promised to start Bala Sahib Hospital and in first phase we have launched this kidney dialysis hospital. He also said that motive of the DSGMC is to provide safe, accessible care with its innovative ideas and these two projects showcase that vision. He said that in this era of costly medical treatment, providing best accessible medical facilities is necessity of the day and the DSGMC is trying to achieve that end only.
Mr. Sirsa and Mr. Kalka thanked all staff members of DSGMC and all other who played a great role in execution of this project.
