Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC)’s General House today decided to scrap membership of former Presidents Parmjit Singh Sarna, Harwinder Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh Sarna on serious allegations of corruption against them.
Talking to media after the meeting, DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon disclosed that they had received communication from Director Gurdwara elections and Delhi Government to decide on complaints against these three members. They said that after this all 50 members were sent written communication about the same and suggestions were requisitioned from them. They said that these letters were also sent to Parmjit Singh Sarna, Harwinder Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh GK. They said that these three members instead of replying to allegations against them or denying them, gave illogical answers and also did not attend today’s General House meeting.
They said that majority of the members demanded action against three of them and all 38 members present in the meeting unanimously passed resolution to remove them from membership of DSGMC. They said that now copy of this resolution will be sent to Director Gurdwara elections and Delhi Government.
Responding to media queries, they said that action has been taken as per the provisions of the DSGMC Act passed by the Parliament.
They disclosed that Sarna brothers and GK had made payments in name of their firms and family members. GK issued cheques in name of her daughter and Sarna brothers issued cheques in names of their firms when they were office bearers of DSGMC.
They disclosed that members of the DSGMC had resolved that a stern message should be sent that those who have misused public money of Golak won’t be spared at any cost.
Responding to queries, they said that if any complaint against any other member is received and is duly acknowledged by Director Gurdwara elections and Delhi Government, action will be taken against such member/members.
