Drone clicks pics of Curfew violators, case registered against 14 unidentified persons: Gurpreet Bhullar

Tightening the noose around the violators, the Commissionerate Police have booked 14 unidentified persons for violating the curfew norms.

The drones have captured the images of the violators in Kot Kishan Chand Mohalla where vendors were found selling the vegetables and fruits by assembling at one place which may risk the spread of Covid-19.

In Dhan Mohalla, drones have captured the images of the people who were found violating the orders.

Besides this, the police have also arrested a shopkeeper Jasveer Pal of Santokhpura for opening the grocery shop.

Divulging the details, the Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) drones were pressed into the service for capturing the images of the people who were not adhering to the orders.

Mr. Bhullar said that subsequently today, commissionerate police have impounded 379 vehicles.

Meanwhile, he said that the curfew has been imposed for the betterment of people so that the spread of Covid 19 could be checked effectively.

The Commissioner of Police said that the action would continue in till the curfew was not lifted.

He asked the people to stay safe by staying inside their homes.

He said that a viable mechanism has been put in place for the entire security arrangements and sectoral officers from Police have been deployed.

He said that every effort would be made to maintain law and order in the city.

The Commissioner of Police categorically said that no one would be allowed to violate the law and stern action would be taken against violators.
