Dr. Ranjit Singh Ghotra who was previously posted as Director Health Services (Family Welfare) has now been posted as new Director Health and Family Welfare Department Punjab and he joined on his new posting today.
Immediately after joining his new posting Dr. Ghotra thanked Punjab government for showing faith in him and assured to perform his duty efficiently and with honesty. He assured to take every possible step needed to be taken for providing quality healthcare services to the people of Punjab.
Pertaining to his career in Health Department Punjab Dr. Ghotra joined as Medical Officer in the year 1991, in the year 1997 he completed his M.D. in paediatrics from Government Medical College Patiala. He was promoted as Senior Medical Officer in 2015 and in January 2021 he was promoted as Deputy Director and was posted as Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur and then in Jalandhar.
After joining here as Director, Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Ghotra stated that he considers all health staff as his family and he exhorted them to work diligently and honestly for the welfare of the people of Punjab.
Dr. Ravinderpal Kaur also assumed charge as Director Health Services (Family Welfare).In her career spanning more than 30 years she joined the PCMS in 1991 as a Medical Officer in PHC Thathi Bhai presently in Moga District.
Thereafter, she also remained posted in different hospitals of Punjab state. In year 2018 she got promoted as Senior Medical Officer and was posted at Civil Hospital Sector-22 Chandigarh. Then in the year 2021 she was promoted as Deputy Director and was posted as Principal State Training Institute Mohali.
While listing out her priorities she asked the health staff to provide time bound quality services and insisted on quick disposal of matters relating to public. She stressed upon taking necessary steps to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the people of state .The staff of the Directorate office welcomed both the new Directors and they assured full cooperation.
