Dr Amar Singh hands over resolutions passed against black laws to Rahul Gandhi

Fatehgarh Sahib Member Parliament (MP) Dr Amar Singh on Sunday, handed over copies of resolutions passed against the three anti-farmer laws by panchayats and gram sabhas of various villages of Raikot constituency to former AICC President Rahul Gandhi in the presence of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally in Lamma Jattpura village (Raikot) at the culmination of the first day ‘Kheti Bachao Yatra’. The event was organised under the supervision of Dr Amar Singh.

Dr Amar Singh assured the farmers that the Congress party would go shoulder to shoulder with them in this struggle against black laws.

Rahul Gandhi said that farmers of Punjab are the backbone of the country and Congress was leading everywhere for the rights of farmers. “The battle will be fought whether it is in Parliament or the Assembly or in the Court so that these anti-farmer bills can be eliminated,” he said.

Dr Amar Singh and Kamil Boparai, in collaboration with other party leaders, presented Rahul Gandhi with a replica of a Plow, a symbol of agriculture.

Dr Amar Singh expressed gratitude to Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and other Congress leaders who had joined the rally in his constituency and come out in favour of the farmers.
