North Delhi Strikers Women booked their place in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 final with a composed six-wicket victory over Central Delhi Queens Women at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing 123 for victory, North Delhi Strikers reached the target in 18.4 overs, with Archana anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 49 off 44 balls, including four boundaries. Samaira Raghav provided the finishing support with an unbeaten 20 off 19 deliveries.
North Delhi made a brisk start through Shivi Sharma, who hit two boundaries in her eight-ball 8 before being dismissed by spinner Sumiti Soni in the third over.
Captain Ayushi Soni contributed 22 off 25 balls, striking three boundaries, before being stumped by wicketkeeper R. Priyadarshini off Sumiti’s bowling. Nazma added a quick 14 off 10 balls with two boundaries, while wicketkeeper-batter Riya Shokeen fell for three.
Archana and Samaira then combined to take North Delhi across the line without further trouble, leaving them with eight balls to spare. Sumiti Soni was Central Delhi’s most successful bowler, finishing with 2/28.
Earlier, Central Delhi Queens were restricted to 122/7 after North Delhi’s disciplined bowling attack kept the scoring under control.
Nidhi Mahto top-scored with a patient 49 off 47 balls, hitting five boundaries and a six. She shared a crucial partnership of more than 50 runs with Arushi Goel, who scored 43 off 46 balls with five boundaries, after Central Delhi lost Deeksha Sharma for two early in the innings.
Monika provided some late impetus with an unbeaten 19 off 12 balls, but Central Delhi were unable to build enough momentum to set a challenging target.
Off-spinner Nazma was North Delhi’s leading bowler, claiming 3/18 from her four overs, while Apeksha Anand returned figures of 2/24.
