Darbara Singh Guru Advisor to S. Balwinder Singh Bhunder Working President of Shiromani Akali Dal has strongly denied any link with Nakodar Police case of 1986 and asserted that some forces were out to defame Akali Dal.
Addressing a press conference here today, Darbara Singh Guru said that during 1986 police firing case he was ADC at Jalandhar and had no role in ordering firing of case. He said that after the incident post mortem was performed of the deceased.
He said that this issue was being raised now after 38 years only to defame him and Akali Dal because he has been appointed Advisor to Akali Dal working President.
He said that whenever he contests elections or is appointed on a prominent post this issue surfaces again only with the motive to defame him. He said that some forces were hell bent to defame Akali Dal for their vested interests.
He said that there is a deep rooted conspiracy in this matter which will be exposed in due course of time. He said that he had nothing more to add on this issue as this was result of a deep rooted political conspiracy.
