Former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh who Saturday resigned under directions of Congress high command has come under heavy fire from a former DGP for branding Navjot Singh Sidhu as anti-national.
Former DGP Mohammad Mustafa, who is the husband of Razia Sultana, a Cabinet Minister in Amarinder’s council of ministers has taken on Amarinder for questioning the patriotism and nationalism of Navjot Sidhu.
After he was forced to resign, Amarinder had attacked PPCC Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu like anything. Referring to his equation with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pak Army Chief Gen Bajwa, Amarinder had said that Sidhu was an anti-national and he would not accept him as Chief Minister of the border state.
The attack launched by the former DGP is so far the sharpest and the most scathing attack launched against the former Chief Minister.
Mustafa opened fire against Amarinder in a series of Tweets on Sunday morning. This is for the first time that such language and references have been used against Amarinder in public.

What u know that I know, is not even tip of the iceberg. I have in my possession a mountain of your wrongdoings with irrefutable proofs.
What you don’t know is that to honour my word to you not to go public with what I have against you even after you ‘Ragdoed’ me most unethically through UPSC in connivance with Arora, I bluntly refused to share that even with Rahul Gandhi when asked for. That’s the strength of my Character, Sir jee.
Mustafa was actually a staunch loyalist of Capt Amarinder Singh and it was considered that he would be appointed DGP as and when Amarinder takes over as Chief Minister. However, things did not turn out as expected and Capt Amarinder first granted an extension to Suresh Arora as DGP and after Arora’s departure appointed Dinkar Gupta ignoring Mustafa’s seniority. Mustafa and another DGP challenged the appointment of Dinkar Gupta but the government backed these appointments and fought the cases till Mustafa got superannuated. One of the cases related to the row is still pending in the Supreme Court.
