The Shiromani Akali Dal leadership today urged the people of the country specially of the Punjab to vote for the NDA candidates to give strong government to the country.
Addressing a press conference here today, Member Parliament Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Mr. Tarlochan Singh Ex MP, the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Modi government has given much needed relief to the Sikhs by constituting Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the 1984 Sikh massacre due to which main culprit Sajjan Kumar and others including Naresh Sehrawat are now behind bars.
They said that this SIT has reopened case of Jagdish Tytler who was given clean chit earlier and now he is facing cases also. They said that for the last 33 years, the Sikhs were waiting for justice in worst ever genocide and the NDA government led by Mr. Narendra Modi has did the job.
They said that decision to make Kartarpur Sahib corridor has won the hearts of Sikh community as for the last 70 years they were having darshan of Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib by binocular only and now sangat will be able to have a darshan with completion of this corridor.
They said that apart from this decision of celebration of 550th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev ji throughout the world has been lauded by Sikhs worldwide. They said that this NDA government celebrated 350th birthday of Guru Gobind Singh ji and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ji.
The SAD leaders said that decision to waive off GST on Langar is also a historic decision taken by the NDA government. They said that abolishing Black List is a very big decision for which Sikhs were struggling since a long time. They said that with implementation of this decision Sikhs settled abroad on asylum basis can now visit their homes.
These leaders said that apart from decision on these caused decision to implement Swaminathan Commission recommendation to raise MSP to one and a half times the input costs of various crops has helped ameliorating the conditions of farmers in Punjab and whole country. They said that apart from this decision to help farmers by giving cash incentives is another important decision which will help farmers a lot.
They said that Punjab has gained a lot during the five year rule of the NDA government led by Mr. Modi. This government gave Punjab different projects including IIT, IIM, AIIMS, Satellite Centre of PGIMER, besides building robust infrastructure of roads etc.
They said that it is right time to pay back to the NDA by voting for it. They said that if NDA again forms the Government at Centre it is the Punjab and Punjabis which will gain the most.
