AAP MLA from Sunam, Aman Arora yesterday wrote a letter to Capt. Amrinder Singh Chief Minister offering a cut of 30% in his salary as MLA for the current financial year 2020-21 to fight Covid-19.
Earlier too, Arora had given his March Month salary to CM’s Relief Fund and has placed the services of his Dental College and General Hospital in Sunam at the services of the State Govt to be used as Quarantine Centre.
In his letter, Arora wrote that at a time when the whole world is fighting with Corona Virus pandemic, poor and needy are struggling to make two ends meet, medical and para medical staff in Punjab is fighting from the front without any protective equipment, industry and trade is reeling under lockdown and the State’s fiscal health is bound to crumble further, as a public representative it becomes one’s para-mount moral duty of contribute to this battle.
Arora further urged everyone to come forward to fight this battle by donating generously.
