A day after his resignation as Punjab Cabinet Minister was accepted by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, the outgoing minister vacated official bungalow allotted to him in Chandigarh.
Sidhu Sunday took to Twitter to inform that he has vacated his bungalow and handed it over to Punjab government.
Capt Amarinder Singh had Saturday morning accepted Sidhu’s one-line resignation and sent it to Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore with a recommendation to accept the same.
The Governor had also accepted the resignation on Saturday itself.
Sidhu’s bungalow in Sector 2 located near to the official residence of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh was partially vacated yesterday itself and when everything was over, Sidhu himself reached there to handover the possession to the concerned authorities. He however, maintained a distance from the media and didn’t talk to the journalists. He later tweeted about having vacated the bungalow.
Sidhu had developed differences with the Chief Minister which ultimately reached a point of no return as both sides stuck to their stands even after the intervention of former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel.
