Curfew violators in Punjab may lose their Passport, Driving License in post Curfew, Lockdown period – With Video

Announcing zero tolerance policy against the violators of the Curfew imposed by Punjab Government to combat Covid-19 pandemic, the Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr GPS Bhullar and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Navjot Singh Mahal said that violators will face serious repercussions and may loose their passport and driving licence in the post curfew period.

Leading a flag march in the various areas of the city and Kartarpur town, they said that few percent residents still not taking the curfew seriously and roaming outside without any valid reason and are violating the curfew.

They said that the violators would be dealt with iron hand and they could face problem in getting their passport and license after registering FIR against them under sections of 188. They said that as the violations would be treated as social crime and dealt with sternly.

They said that the no stone would be left unturned for ensure the compliance of the curfew by the residents as it had been imposed by the government for their safety.

The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that every effort was afoot for ensuring that the war against Covid 19 was won. They said that the officers of the civil and Police administration were already on their toes for serving the people with missionary zeal.

Meanwhile, the officers also led a flag march which crossed from Ladowali road, Guru Nanak Pura, Choggiti, Guru Gobind Singh Avenue, Lamba Pind Chowk, Pathankot bypass, Bhagat Singh Colony and adjoining areas.

They said that people must stay inside their homes and support the district administration for keeping the corona virus at bay.

On the occasion, ADC Mr Jasbir Singh and others were also present.
