Cultural Extravaganza: Trinjan-2021 organized at PIT, Nandgarh

Punjab Institute of Technology (PIT), Nandgarh a constituent college of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda organized Trinjan -2021 with much fanfare. The event had a cultural bonanza of spectacular performances of singing, dancing, Group Skit, Fashion show, Gidha and Bhangra.

The event saw the crowning of Miss Jaskirat Kaur and Mr. Tejinderpal Singh as Miss Farewell and Mr. Farewell whereas Miss Charming and Mr. Handsome titles were accorded to Miss Daljeet Kaur and Mr. Gurdeep Singh.

The program was aimed to give a fond send off to the students of department of Computer Applications, Commerce and Management studies of Batch 2020 and Batch 2021.The farewell party was celebrated at college seminar Hall of the Institute with a lot of fervor and enthusiasm, which helped to create warm environment between juniors and seniors.

The program started with Kavishari in the praise of God. Thereafter, there was a spate of solo dance, group dance, duet song, solo song, games, laughter and Punjabi folk dance Giddha, as the hosts impressed with the showcasing of their vast repository of skills. Some of the outgoing students did Modeling on the stage and on the basis of different rounds they were given titles.

Bathinda District Planning Board, Chairman Advocate Mr. Rajan Garg and MRSPTU Vice- Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Buta Singh Sidhu were Chief Guests on this occasion.

The guests actively participated in tree plantation ceremony, the very first tree was planted by Mr. Rajan Garg in college premises and then Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Buta Singh Sidhu also planted tree.

The chief guests also distributed the prizes to the students for their academic excellence and outstanding performance in co-curricular activities such as solo dance, poem recitation, NCC and so on.

Mr. Rajan Garg appreciated the initiative of college authorities to start a Scholarship Scheme “Support and Encourage for Education to Deserving students” (SEEDS) for needy and deserving students and also gave an assurance of financial support to the Institute on behalf of Punjab Finance Minister, Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal.

While motivating and encouraging the students with best wishes in their carrier, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu congratulated the awardees and express his gratitude towards students keeping our Punjabi Culture alive through their performances. On this special event, he assured to allocate funds to purchase cricket practice pitch for the students of PIT Nandgarh.

Earlier, PIT Nandgarh, Director Prof. (Dr) Rajesh Gupta welcomed the guests and wished all the best to the outgoing students for success and accomplishments in all their future endeavors. He reiterated his commitment to all the students to provide quality education with wide industry & placement exposures. He also highlighted the various types of facilities that are being provided to the students of PIT Nandgarh and upliftment of technical education in rural area.

Prominent among those present on the occasion, include Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, Principal Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Nandgarh, Dean and Directors from MRSPTU.

The organizing team under the coordinator of the event, Miss Harmandeep Kaur, Academic In-charge, PIT, Nandgarh worked very hard to make the programme a grand success. Dr. Rajesh Gupta appreciated team efforts to make this function successful.
