Geneva, March 27, 2020-
Switzerland has reported 949 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total cases in the country to 10,714, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) said.
The death toll in the country increased from 103 to 161, the FOPH said on Thursday, adding that to date, 91,400 tests have been carried out in the country, of which 14 per cent were positive, Xinhua reported.
According to the Swiss government”s latest response measures, starting from March 26, Swiss companies affected by the epidemic can obtain bank loans guaranteed by the government.
Earlier this month, the Swiss government has decided to provide 42 billion CHF ($43.6 billion) for economic relief so as to prevent small and medium-sized enterprises from bankruptcy. (Agency)
