Covid-19 continued its onslaught in Punjab on Monday too. Five deaths were reported from Punjab while as many as 177 new positive cases were added taking the total number of positive cases to 4235.
The death toll in the state crossed hundred mark today and climbed to 104.
Three deaths were reported in Ludhiana taking the toll in the district to 17. A 68-year old woman passed away in Apollo Hospital while another woman patient died in Rajindera Hospital, Patiala.
One person died in Fortis Hospital at Mohali while one patient succumbed to Corona in Amritsar.
Jalandhar reported as many as 46 new positive cases today. A Congressman Anmol Grover, who is the son of Congress councilor Kamlesh Grover was among those found positive. Grover’s report has left many people and officials worried as he was active as Corona Warrior in the areas.

Ludhiana reported 34 new cases and Amritsar had 28 new cases. A SHO and three other police officials were among the 28 found positive today.
15 New positive cases were reported from Sangrur, 13 from Fazilka, 7 each from Ferozepur and Pathankot, 5 from Patiala and 4 from Bathinda.
Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali, Tarn Taran and Nawanshahar reported 2 cases each while one case each was reported from Moga and Kapurthala.
