In his address in Ajnala rally Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President and MP Bhagwant Mann said that even though every region of Punjab tackle same set of problems like; drugs, unemployment, poverty, inflation etc. but, borders areas’ people face some additional hardships which have been ignored by Cong, SAD and BJP for so long.
He said that he has been constantly raising compensation issue of Farmers who have agricultural land beyond border but current governments haven’t released a penny to these farmers.
Addressing a large gathering here on Wednesday AAP leader again slammed Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and said, “They haven’t done anything in 44 years, and they are not going to do anything in the next five years either. These parties (Cong and SAD) don’t have any agenda or development plans but they’re shamelessly asking for one more chance to plunder Punjab again.”
He added that AAP is the only party that is talking about development issues like schools, hospitals, employment and the future of our children.
Criticizing the remark made by Navjot Sidhu about a police officer during his rally in Kapurthala, Bhagwant said that it was of very poor taste and police personnel are like our children too. He added that governments has been exploiting all employees as police officers still given an allowance of Rs. 100/month for their food and Rs. 20 as Cycle allowance.
“Then a ‘Responsible Leader’ like Navjot Sidhu says that police officers wet their pants in front of their MLA.
Mann also slammed the VIP culture and said that police stations are empty as all police force is stationed in front of the houses of MLAs and schools are empty as teachers are staging strikes on roads and in front of CM house.
Mann emphasized, “Time is very powerful. Today the people responsible for sacrilege incidents, drugs in our state and false oath taker; all are finished. I wish Baba Badal (Prakash Singh Badal) a long life so that he can witness the fall of SAD with his own eyes. Badals were conspirators in formation of anti-farmer laws, and then left BJP only due to pressure created by farmer’s agitation. Even chameleons are embarrassed in front of the colors of Badals.”
He also urged people to stay alert and not let someone, with incidents of sacrilege and theatric FIRs, to lead you astray from the issues of development of Punjab. Mann quipped that even after the breakage of few weak fibers, ‘Jharoo’ still does its job of cleaning the dirt. He appealed people to cast their vote to Aam Aadmi Party and give honest leaders a chance to change the future of Punjab for better.
