Congress MLA Raminder Awla contributes 2 years Salary in Punjab CM’s Relief Fund

Further boosting the efforts aimed at containment of COViD-19 in the state, Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly from Jalalabad (West) in Fazilka district, Mr. Raminder Singh Awla wrote to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to donate his two years salary into Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

An official spokesperson of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha said that Mr. Awla wrote to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretary to contribute his two years salary to help the state government fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The spokesperson said that this is a good gesture of the MLA to express his solidarity with the people of the state in this crisis. Notably, Mr. Awla had announced to contribute his two years salary on March 25 during the visit to Jalalabad constituency.

Punjab Chief Minister Relief Fund has been getting wholehearted support from political leaders and the people from all other quarters of life.
