Congress Ministers should prove allegations of Revenue loss worth crores levelled against CS or apologise: Aman Arora

Chandigarh, May 16, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab senior leader and Sunam MLA Aman Arora has challenged the Congress ministers and MLAs to prove the allegations levelled by them against the top officials for a excise revenue loss worth Rs 600 crore, alleging that they had been granted clean chit in the presence of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, absolving them of the charge.

In a statement issued from party headquarters in Chandigarh on Saturday, Aman Arora said: “The Punjab Congress ministers and MLAs, including Cabinet rank Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Charanjit Singh Channi and advisor to Chief Minister Raja Warring, should prove the charge against the chief secretary and other top officials or apologize to them and the people of Punjab state”

Arora said that the ruling Congress leadership was peddling all kinds of misleading stories among the gullible people of the state just to deflecting their attention from the core issues of concern, including the ‘open loot’ by the state-sponsored mafia, which allegedly ran under the protection of Badals earlier during their ten year misrule and now Captain Amarinder Singh.

He said the Aam Aadmi Party had been holding the headstrong mafia lords calling the shots in the state squarely responsible for a whopping annual loss of Rs 7000 crore in excise revenue only.

The AAP leader said the Congress ministers and the so-called advisers to chief minister, who often indulged in levelling allegations against anybody should seek a clarification from Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh that if bureaucracy was not behind a huge excise revenue loss of Rs 600 crore, who else was responsible for the same?
