The Senior Ministers of the Congress today lashed out at SAD in general and Badals in particular and said that it’s so called comrade in arms NDA Government is blatantly interfering in the rights of the states regarding borrowing.
The Congress leaders said that the Badal family was an equal partner in the Delhi Takht operation to dismantle the federal structure of the country for which the people of the state would never forgive them.
In a joint statement released here today, Cabinet Ministers S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Kangar and Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that Parkash Singh Badal, who had been harping in the name of federal structure all his life, is silent today on his son and daughter-in-law joining hands with enemies of federal structure.

The Akali Dal, which calls itself the champion of the rights of the states, today is not only silent on the action of the Union Government for the sake of the preserving the political office but is also an equal partner in crime and completely hand in glove with the NDA Government.
The Congress leaders in an attacking mode, thundered that the Union Government has unnecessarily interfered in the borrowing rights of the states beyond its limits. Instead of opposing this Draconian decision, the Akali leaders, in order to cover up for the crime against the people of the nation, are hatching a conspiracy to mislead the masses by making baseless statements about electricity bills.
The Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has already made it clear that as long as he is in power, farmers will continue to get free electricity, averred Congress leaders.
The Congress leaders challenged Parkash Singh Badal to break his silence on the issue and Sukhbir Badal to resign from the post of Party President and recall Harsimrat Badal from the Union Ministry.
The Badals had abandoned the long cherished principles of Akali Dal and pawned these to further their family interests. Today, the Akali Dal is in the grip of those who were just power hungry and made the party a family soap drama thus violating the rights of the states. The people of Punjab will never forgive the Badals.
