Congress govt committed to providing jobs to youth: Preneet Kaur

Patiala, May 10, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Senior Congress leader and party candidate from Patiala parliamentary constituency, Ms Preneet Kaur today reiterated that the Congress government in the state was committed to providing jobs to the youth. She said, similarly, the Congress led government at the centre will generate jobs at a larger level.

Addressing various campaign meetings organized by the local MLA and Health and Family Welfare Minister Bram Mohindra here today, she pointed out, even though the Congress government was there just for two years, it had provided jobs to lakhs of unemployed youth so far.

She said, while this was just the beginning and there was a long way to go, the Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh had also started the process of encouraging the investors and industrialists to invest in Punjab. She said, those industries, which were shut down during the ten year rule of the Akali-BJP alliance were also being reopened.

Appealing people for the votes, she said, the Congress government at the centre had always taken pro-people measures, while the BJP led government had always taken brutal anti-people steps like demonetization.

Besides, she added, a Congress government in centre will always be in the interest of the state, as it will not be hostile towards Punjab, the way Modi government is.

Addressing the meetings, Brahm Mohindra appealed to voters to ensure that Ms Preneet Kaur was elected by the largest margin in Punjab. He warned people against repeating the mistake they committed in 2014.
