Conduct naro-analysis test and brain-mapping of accused arrested in Takht Kesgarh Sahib incident: Jagir Kaur

Amritsar, September 18, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bibi Jagir Kaur on Saturday questioned the negligence of the police administration in exposing and reaching out to the conspirators of the recent crime at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the intention of the government in this case is not clear, that is why the conspirators are not being brought to light even though the connection of the arrested accused with Saudha Sadh (Gurmit Ram Rahim) is exposed.

Bibi Jagir Kaur demanded that the narco-analysis test and brain-mapping of accused Paramjit of Ludhiana should be conducted to get to the bottom of the incident at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib.

While speaking to the media at the SGPC office, Bibi Jagir Kaur said that although more Sections of law against the accused were added in the case at our request, the real culprits behind the incident are not being identified yet.

She said she has written letters to Punjab Chief Minister (CM) and Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab in this regard.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the police action taken so far in this case, the SGPC President said, “Even after several days have passed, no concrete information about the conspiracy behind this incident has been released by the police. Whereas, what was required was that all the involved accused should have been behind the bars by now. The incidents of sacrilege are constantly taking place in Punjab and the government machinery is asleep.”

She also raised questions on the intelligence agencies of the government.

“Despite the existence of a large network of agencies, the incidents which are detrimental to the peaceful environment of Punjab are taking place openly and forces that work behind the culprits are not exposed and apprehended”, said Bibi Jagir Kaur.

Bibi Jagir Kaur strongly urged the government that if action is not taken against the culprits behind the incident of sacrilege at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, the SGPC would be forced to take stern action and the government will be responsible for the same.

SGPC President appealed to the Sikh organizations to work together to maintain peace and put pressure on the government to prevent such incidents.

On this occasion SGPC additional secretary S. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, assistant secretary S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, OSDs to SGPC President Dr Amrik Singh Latifpur and Dr Sukhbir Singh, superintendent Malkit Singh Beharwal, S. Harbhajan Singh Vakta were present.
