A complaint has been filed by Inder Mohan Singh against the President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and candidate of Ward No. 9- Punjabi Bagh with Mr. Narinder Singh, Director Gurdwara Elections, Lt. Governor Delhi Mr. Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal and Minister for Delhi Gurdwara Elections Mr. Rajinder Pal Gautam, in which it has been demanded that the nomination of candidature of Manjinder Singh Sirsa should be cancelled immediately for violation of Model Code of Conduct.
While giving details on this issue, DSGMC Member Mr. Inder Mohan Singh said that in view of the ongoing Delhi Gurdwara Elections, Model Code of Conduct is in force since 31 st March 2021 which will continue till the completion of the election process. In accordance with that, no office-bearer or candidate can announce any financial assistance to the Sikh Sangat.
Apart from this, neither any project can be inaugurated nor even an adhoc appointment can be made in any establishment of DSGMC during this period.
He said that whereas in gross violation thereof, DSGMC President Manjinder Singh Sirsa has appointed some employees on his single signatures, his accomplice General Secretary Harmeet Singh Kalka is also a co-accused in violating the Model Code of Conduct by announcing inauguration of 125 beded Covid Hospital at Gurdwara Bala Sahib and announcement of various financial packages to lure the Sikh voters in the ensuing Delhi Gurdwara elections.
As such, separate complaint is being filed against General Secretary Kalka with the concerned Departments also demanding therein to cancel the nomination of his candidature from Gurdwara Ward No. 39- Kalkaji.
Mr. Inder Mohan Singh said that whereas the approval of the Executive Board and the General House of DSGMC and also consent of the Delhi Government’s Directorate of Gurdwara Elections is essentially required before implementing such decisions which cannot be practically executed till the consent is given by the Delhi Government.
He said that the candidature of DSGMC President Sirsa and General Secretary Kalka are liable to be cancelled immediately.
