Committed to ensure benefits of Mavan-Dheean Satkar Yojana to every eligible female: Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri

Chandigarh/Garhshankar, June 13, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

A special training camp regarding Mavan-Dheean Satkar Yojana was organized today at the office of Punjab Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker and MLA from Garhshankar, Jai Krishan Singh Rouri.

The purpose of the camp was to familiarize officials and workers with the finer details required for the effective implementation of the scheme at the grassroots level and to ensure that its benefits reach every eligible woman.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri said that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to the social and economic empowerment of women, and this scheme reflects the same in true nature. He said that the true objective of government welfare schemes can only be achieved when their benefits reach the last eligible person and their government is ensuring the same.

The Deputy Speaker appealed to officials, employees and volunteers to conduct door-to-door outreach to make eligible women aware of the scheme and provide them with all possible assistance during the registration process. He emphasized that no eligible woman should be deprived of government benefits merely due to a lack of information.

During the training camp, officials and staff associated with the scheme were provided detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, the registration process, required documents, verification of applications, and the benefits available to beneficiaries. Queries and concerns raised by participants were also addressed and necessary guidelines for the successful implementation of the scheme were issued.

Deputy Speaker Rouri further stated that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuously striving to deliver welfare schemes to the people in a transparent and effective manner. He added that the Mavan-Dheean Satkar Yojana would prove to be a significant step toward strengthening the economic position of women.

A large number of officials, employees, volunteers, and prominent local residents attended the event and assured their full cooperation in ensuring that the scheme reaches every eligible beneficiary.
