Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Laljit Singh Bhullar in Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. Mann along with Laljit Bhullar held a mega road show in Jandiala Guru, Baba Bakala and Tarn Taran and appealed to the people to make the AAP candidate win.
A large number of AAP supporters and local people participated in the road show. People welcomed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by showering flowers on him and shouting slogans of AAP. Mann said that it is your love and support that never lets me get tired.
He appealed to the people to make the Aam Aadmi Party win by 13-0 this time, in the next three years I will work twice as hard and make Punjab ‘sone di chiri’ again, promised Mann.
Mann said that send Majha’s power Laljit Bhullar to Delhi as your MP. You should stay united and not waste your vote. Vote only for the Aam Aadmi Party because for the first time Punjab has true people’s government. Every vote cast by you to the AAP will go directly to me and then I will work harder and at doubled pace for the development of Punjab.
During the speech, Chief Minister Mann targeted the Badal family and Akali Dal candidate from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal and said that it is her turn to lose in the Badal family. Earlier Harsimrat Kaur Badal used to write ‘Tuhadi Apni Umeedwar’ (your candidate) in her election posters, but this time she is writing ‘Nimani sevadar’ (humble servant) instead.
Mann attacked Sukhbir Badal and said that he is a person who lives in AC. He comes out after asking the temperature. When the temperature outside is 30-32°, he takes out his Punjab Bachao Yatra for two hours. I have not seen him in Parliament till date. How will such people understand the pain and suffering of the common people!
Mann also attacked the opposition parties and said that these people together looted Punjab for decades and built big palaces for themselves.
These people never cared about the people of Punjab, they only promoted their family. Now I will remove these people from Punjab’s politics. He said that until I do not eliminate Akali Dal (Badal), BJP and Congress from Punjab, I will not sit in peace.
Mann said that the opposition party leaders wake up every morning and abuse me. Now this is their only task. Whereas I do new work every day for the development of Punjab and take new decisions so that Punjab can become Rangla again.
He said I am working for the development of Punjab with full honesty. I have not come to politics to earn money. I do not want to take shares in your transport, business, dhaba and hotel. I just want to share the pain and suffering of three crore Punjabis.
He said that in the last two years I have given government jobs to 43 thousand youth without any recommendation and discrimination. We made your electricity bills zero, provided sufficient electricity to farmers for irrigation during the day and to save Punjab’s ground water, canal water is being supplied to 59% of the fields.
At the same time, to overcome the shortage of electricity, our government bought a private thermal power plant for the first time in the country, due to which now the problem of electricity in Punjab has been resolved.
Mann said that soon I will also fulfill the guarantee of giving ₹1000 every month to my mothers and sisters of Punjab. For this, I have done all the calculations. He said that right now we are providing canal water to 59 percent of the farms in Punjab. When I became the Chief Minister in March 2022, only 21 percent of the farms used to get canal water.
By October, we will deliver canal water to 70 percent of the farms, after which about 6 lakh tube wells of Punjab will become useless. Then the government will save about Rs 5000 to 6000 crore. With that money, we will give Rs 1000 every month to our mothers and sisters.
