The stage was all set for the state level event to commemorate 115th birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh in Khatkar Kalan in which Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will pay homage to the martyr.
On Tuesday, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) (Cyber Crime, NRI) Praveen Kumar Sinha reviewed arrangements for the event.
Sinha also held a detailed meeting with the officers of the district administration to finalize the arrangements of the function in which CM Bhagwant Mann will preside as chief guest. He will pay tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh at the museum and later, will address a public gathering there. He said that the district administration must evolve a foolproof mechanism to ensure smooth flow of traffic besides making proper seating arrangements for them.
During the deliberations, Sinha minutely reviewed the arrangements being made by the district administration for the event. He said that whole hearted efforts must be made for smooth conduct of this event.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena detailed ADGP regarding the plan chalked out by the district administration for the event. They said that officers from Civil and Police departments were already assigned duties and were briefed elaborately to ensure smooth holding of the event.
