Chandigarh, March 17, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Chief Minister Bhagwant and other newly elected members of Punjab Assembly Thursday were administered oath of office and secrecy by pro tem Speaker Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar in first session of 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
Breaking the convention, all the lady members were administered oath immediately after the Chief Minister.
Thereafter, all other male members were sworn in by the Speaker as members of the newly constituted State Assembly district-wise in an alphabetical order.
Two BJP MLAs, State BJP president Ashwani Sharma and Jangi Lal Mahajan did not take oath today. They will be administered oath on 21st of March.
