Chargesheet against Tytler in 1984 Sikh Genocide case big victory of Sikh community: DSGMC

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon today said that filing of chargesheet against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in 1984 Sikh genocide case was a big victory of the Sikh community.

Addressing a press conference here today, Kalka and Kahlon said that since last 39 years Sikh community was fighting a battle for getting justice in this worst ever genocide of the world. They said that DSGMC lead team led by Atma Singh Lubana was fighting these cases on courts and today filing of chargesheet against Tytler was a big victory for this team.

Kalka and Kahlon said that case in which chargesheet has been filed against Tytler was concerned with Gurdwara Pul Bangash area in which three Sikhs were murdered and a Gurdwara Sahib was set on fire by mob led by Tytler. They said that this case was re-investigated by SP Amanjeet Kaur and now SP Rajveer Singh who probed the matter transparently. They said that statement of prime witnesses Amarjit Singh Bedi and Harpal Kaur on March 29 before a magistrate u/s 164. They said that three Sikhs Gurcharan Singh Channi, Badal Singh and Thakur Singh were murdered at house of Harpal Kaur.

They disclosed that CBI has filed chargesheet in Rose Avenue court u/s 147, 148, 149, 153 A, 188, 302, 295 and 436 IPC. They said that now Tytler will go to jail for his role in 1984 Sikh genocide.

They said that though Congress government saved the skin of these guilty and awarded them with plum posts but present government assured us that no one will be pressurised and all the guilty will go to jail.

They said that those people who had honoured Jagdith Tytler and other guilty on stages and had advised Sikh community of forgetting 1984, they must be repenting sitting on their homes.
