Punjab Government would not allow a blackout situation in Punjab despite the coal crisis in the country, affirmed Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Mr. Randeep Singh Nabha, on Saturday, here.
During his maiden visit to the town after elevated as a Minister, Mr Randeep Singh Nabha said that the Chief Minister S. Charanjit Singh Channi led Punjab Government has made all arrangements to resolve the power crisis and a special train of coal consignment for thermal power plants of Punjab to be reached very soon.
He also assured that there will no shortage of DAP fertilizer as 1.97 lakh MT DAP was reaching in the state.
While paying obeisance at the memorial of S. Gurdarshan Singh, his late father and ex-minister, situated near Nabha-Patiala bypass, the cabinet minister reiterated that he will serve the people of Punjab selflessly.
Reiterating his commitment for the development of Amloh as well as Nabha constituency, Mr Randeep Singh Nabha said that earstwhile Nabha State has a huge contribution and prominent place in the Sikh history but the city and its residents have not got due position. The minister said that he will take up the demand of the people to make Nabha a district with the state government.
Condemning the pathetic attitude of the Union and UP governments towards the Lakhimpur Kheri tragic incident, the minister sought immediate removal of the Union Minister of State for Home and arrest of perpetrators. No section of the society is happy with policies of the BJP Government and the saffron party will face the consequences in upcoming elections.
He said Punjab Government has already announced compensation of Rs. 50 lakh each for the victims of the Lakhimpur Kheri unfortunate incident.
Prominent amongst the others present on the occasion, included Punjab Water Resources Development Corporation Chairman Mahant Harwinder Singh Khanora, DSP Rajesh Chibber, Naib Tehsildar Karamjit Singh Khatra and a large number of supporters.
