Channi announces to start training in Malaud ITI from this session

Ludhiana/Chandigarh, July 5, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Technical Education & Industrial Training, Employment Generation & Training, Tourism and Culture Affairs Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday, announced to start the training at Industrial Training Centre (ITI) established by the Punjab Government in Malaud from this session.

Cabinet Minister was here to address a state-level function organized by the Punjab government to pay the tributes to Bhai Maharaj Singh on his martyrdom day in Rabbon Uchhi village of the district.

Addressing the function, Cabinet Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that erstwhile government had established the ITI but failed to get it functional due to absence of needed approvals. “Now we have completed all the formalities and the ITI will get functional from this session,” he said.

He invited all the youngsters to take maximum benefit from this ITI that they can become self-reliant and get jobs under the state government’s “Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna”.

Cabinet Minister, while paying floral tribute to the martyr, also announced to install the statue of Bhai Maharaj Singh in the village. He also announced grant of Rs 10 lakhs for the village for the development works and handed over cheque of Rs 5 lakhs to the panchayat on the spot.

Interacting with media persons on the sidelines of the function, Cabinet Minister termed the union budget an eyewash and said that Punjab’s interests were ignored by the Central government. He also condemned the hike in petrol and diesel prices.

MLA from Payal constituency Lakhbir Singh Lakha apprised the cabinet minister about the demands of the constituency and requested him to sort the issues on the constituency on priority.

Meanwhile, different groups of Dhadhi Jathas performed during the function. On the occasion Samrala MLA Amrik Singh Dhillon, Former minister Tej Parkash Singh, MLA Khanna Gurkirat Singh Kotli among other prominent persons were present.
