BJP Sikh leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa today said that filing of chargesheet against Jagdish Tytler in a 1984 Sikh genocide case was big victory of the Sikh community and he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CBI for ensuring action against Tytler.
In a statement released here today, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that when he was General Secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), he had filed an application in the court that we have fresh evidence against Jagdish Tytler in 1984 Sikh genocide case after which court accepted my application.
He said that on March 29, 2023, CBI had recorded statement of prime witness Harpal Kaur u/s 164 before a magistrate in which she had briefed how Jagdish Tytler led a mob in Gurdwara Pul Bangash area and three Sikhs were murdered and Gurudwara sahib was set on fire.
Sirsa said that now after through investigation, CBI has filed chargesheet against Tytler u/s 147, 148, 149, 153 (a), 188 IPC along with 302, 295 and 436 IPC.
He said that like Sajjan Kumar now Jagdish Tytler will also go to jail for his role in 1984 Sikh genocide cases. He said that Sikh community was fighting this battle for getting justice since last 40 years. He said that now under Prime Minister Narendra Modi we are getting justice of this worst genocide of the world.
He said that during Congress governments all these guilty were not only shielded but were awarded with plum posts for their role in Sikh genocide. He said that one remained minister, other became MP and likewise these posts were given to them.
He expressed confidence that after Tytler, Kamalnath will also meet same fate and he will also be awarded punishment for his role in 1984 Sikh genocide cases.
