While addressing a rally at Tarn Taran, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and MLA Meet Hayer said, “today I have come to you as the son of a farmer and not as AAP MLA or worker.”He was accompanied by party leaders Anmol Gagan Mann, Manjinder Singh Sidhu and other party leaders.
Hayer said that Capt. Rahul-Badal-Modi have conspired to mislead the farmers and other sections of Punjab and weaken the struggle being waged by various farmers’ organizations across Punjab. But AAP will not allow these anti-peasant parties to succeed in their nefarious aims at any cost, as the entire leadership and volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab unit are creating awareness about dirty politics being carried out by Captain-Badal-Modi in every village in Punjab and through public rallies and meetings.
Hayer said that if the black laws passed were not repealed then these laws would completely devastate about 28,000 Arthiyas, laborers working in at least 4-5 lakh mandis, small traders and other sections in Punjab.
Addressing the rally, party leader Anmol Gagan Mann said that in Punjab, Rahul Gandhi was holding a ‘Save Agriculture Rally’ sitting on a special tractor equipped with mattresses and expensive sofas. How does such a VVIP know the actual plight of a farmer?.
Gagan Mann said, “If Rahul Gandhi tries to plough the fields from morning till evening, then he would experience the hardwork of the farmer and shall never come to Punjab again.”
Anmol Gagan Mann said that Rahul Gandhi had come on a tractor to make a mockery of farmers. This has nothing to do with the plight of the farmers, as Rahul Gandhi was absent from Parliament when the Agriculture Ordinances were being debated in Parliament and he never opposed the anti-farmer bills.
The party leader said that Badals had ruined Punjab for 70 years by becoming slaves of the capitalists and making anti-Punjab pacts with them. How can Badal family today call itself farmer friendly?
Hayer and Anmol Gagan said that the efforts of Captain-Badal-Rahul-Modi to ruin Punjab today would never be allowed by the Aam Aadmi Party to succeed at any cost.
