In another distinction, Jalandhar has secured top position by ensuring maximum mutations of properties within stipulated time-frame and maintaining lowest pendency in the state.
Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that as many as 1,02,973 mutations have been initiated by the officials in the district of which only 1919 mutations are pending in the system which is 1.86 percent of the total initiated cases. He added that this performance has placed Jalandhar as a top performing district in ensuring mutation timely.
The DC further added that after the integration of the NDGRS system, registration of mutation is now compulsory within 45 days after the registration of property. He added that after the commencement of this new system over one lakh mutations have been registered by the revenue officials within this timeframe.
He asked the officials to clear all the pending cases of mutation so that zero-pendency could be ensured in the district. However, the pendency in Jalandhar is more than half the state average and concerted efforts were being made to bring it to zero, he added.
Notably, the district has earlier maintained top position in maintaining zero pendency in the delivery of citizen centric services to people. Thori further said that no stone would be left unturned to deliver government services in a hassle-free and time-bound manner.
He also said that most pending mutations are within timeline and will be cleared within the 45 days time-frame. He catagorically mentioned that any kind of pendency beyond timeline will be highly unwarranted.
