BSP to stage protests at District HQs on July 27 in support of farmers’ agitation: Jasvir Singh Garhi

State President of Bahujan Samaj Party Sardar Jasvir Singh Garhi said in a press note that on July 27, BSP would protest on the district headquarters of Punjab to repeal three anti-farmer laws in support of the farmers’ movement and in the name of the President will submit a memorandum in which the BJP government at the Center will be appealed to repeal the anti-farmer laws, seeking the President’s personal intervention.

State President Sardar Gadhi ji said that the farmers have been protesting in Delhi for more than six and a half months but the BJP government did not listen to them. Mr. Garhi said that Congress and AAP are also involved in implementing anti-farmer laws.

While Bahujan Samaj Party’s National President Kumari Mayawati has given statements in support of the demands of the farmers’ movement from time to time, fifteen BSP MPs have fought in favor of the farmers’ movement inside the Parliament.

Also in Punjab, The Bahujan Samaj Party has left no stone unturned in fighting on the streets for the farmers’ movement, under which various parts of Punjab including Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Patiala, Khard, Jalandhar, Sangrur, Payal, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Faridkot eleven major protest marches have been organized in were held in September October last year.

With the slogan of Nava saal Kisana naal, BSP Punjab with a huge crowd of people has enthusiastically supported the Delhi Singhu border with blue flags on the night of 31st December and 1st January.

BSP Punjab has supported every call of struggle made by the farmer leader. Now during the parliamentary session, 15 MPs of Bahujan Samaj Party demonstrated outside Parliament for the whole day on the adjournment motion brought by Shiromani Akali Dal in support of the farmers’ movement and appealed to the central government to repeal the black law.

Garhi ji said that today in Punjab, AAP and Congress are playing chair-chair to weaken the farmers’ movement so that attention can be diverted from the farmers’ movement. BSP has always stood for the farmers and will continue to fight for them.
