The Shiromani Akali Dal today ridiculed demand of the Taksali Akali Dal leader Ranjit Singh Brahmpura urging Navjot Sidhu to lead their party and said that the now time has come when they should rename their party from Taksali Dal to Thoko Tali Dal.
In a statement released here today, the SAD Senior Vice President and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the demand made by Mr. Brahmpura shows that they have realized that they are incapable to lead their party and there is leadership crisis in the party.
He said that their appeal to Navjot Sidhu, who has already been forced to resign by the Congress and sit at home, has led people to think whether they will formally announce name of their party as Thoko Tali Dal.
