BJP nominee Hans Raj Hans all set to win, leading by over 1.5 lakh votes

New Delhi, May 23, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)
Renowned Punjabi & Bollywood singer Padmashri Hans Raj Hans is all set to win North West Delhi seat as BJP nominee.

Hans is leading by over 1.5 lakh votes.

He is pitched against Rajesh Lilothia of Congress and Guggan Singh of AAP.

Hans, who hails from Jalandhar in Punjab had started his political carrier with the SAD and contested Jalandhar parliamentary seat in 2009 but lost to Mohinder Singh Kaypee of the Congress.

After that he left the SAD and later joined Congress in the presence of Capt Amarinder Singh. He was nominated as Rajya Sabha candidate by the party but due to protest by former PCC president Shamsher Singh Dullo his name was withdrawn after which a disappointed Hans quit the Congress.

He later joined BJP and was allotted North West Delhi seat. The sitting MP Dr. Udit Raj had quit BJP after Hans was allotted ticket.
