BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today demanded that a criminal case be registered against the Punjab Home Minister and former DGP Siddhartha Chattopadhyaya on the basis of an audio clip in which Chattopadhyaya is allegedly conspiring against the Prime Minister while talking to a proclaimed offender (PO).
Chugh said the audio clip has established that the former DGP had colluded with criminals to jeopardize the PM’s security.
” He had earlier deliberately skipped his duty to protect the PM in Ferozepur. Now he is conniving with criminals to accommodate terrorists and drug convicts to plot threat to the nation and the prime minister. It immediately calls for a criminal case against him, his home minister,” Chugh said.
He said since Punjab PCC president Navjot Sidhu was instrumental in appointment of Chattopadhyaya, AICC president Sonia Gandhi should explain it to the nation why Congress is hand in glove with anti-nationals.
Chugh said the Congress government has deliberately failed the law and order situation in Punjab under electoral gameplan and has put national security at peril on behalf of the Pakistan mentors.
