Bhagwant Mann Govt has prepared comprehensive plan for Augmentation of infrastructure at mandis and link roads: Kuldeep Dhaliwal

Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and NRI Affairs Minister, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said here today that the Bhagwant Mann Government had prepared a comprehensive plan for the augmentation of the infrastructure of state’s mandis and link roads. An amount of Rs 1760 crore has been earmarked for sheds and link roads.

Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, who paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sahib Baba Gurditta at village Chandpur Roorki in Balachaur, said that Punjab Government would develop this historical and holy place of Baba Gurditta ji. He said that he had prayed to Babaji to grant him more strength to serve the people of Punjab honestly and sincerely.

Reciprocating the demands put forth by Balachaur MLA,Santosh Kataria,he announced that Panchayat Ghar, Stadium and Rural Saath will be built in the village. Besides after completion of the cleanliness of the village pond, it will be made a model pond.

He said that with the blessings of Baba Gurditta ji, the daughter of this village, Santosh Kataria has entered the Legislative Assembly of Punjab as an MLA and he has full hope that she will leave no stone unturned in the development of the constituency.

Later, while interacting with reporters, he said that he is committed to bring government land back to the government as part of the campaign to remove illegal encroachment from panchayat lands and will continue his mission.

He said that he has already given instructions to the departmental officials to ensure transparency in the work of Panchayats and carry out the development works of the villages honestly. He said that the Chief Minister has deployed the teams of the Animal Husbandry Department for the prevention of Lumpy skin disease spread for the protection of animals .Requisite medicines and vaccine have also been arranged.

MLA Santosh Kataria expressed her gratitude to Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal for attending the Gurdwara Sahib of Baba Gurditta Ji located in her native village. Aam Aadmi Party district president Shiv Karan Chechi and senior leader Satnam Singh Jalalpur were also present.

On this occasion, the management committee of Gurdwara Sahib honoured Minister Dhaliwal and MLA Kataria with Siropao.

Earlier, the Rural Development and Panchayat Minister was given a ‘Guard of Honour’ by the district police at the SDM office in Balachaur and MLA Santosh Kumari Kataria, Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and SSP Bhagirth Singh Meena accorded him a warm welcome in the district on his first visit. SDM Suba Singh, DSP Davinder Singh and DDPO Davinder Sharma were also present on this occasion.
