These days an old video from some plant in Turkey is going viral on social media platforms, where a person has been showing taking bath in milk vat with milk and the caption of such campaign has been put under brand Verka, by the unscrupulous elements of society, who are jealous of Verka’s growing fame in dairy industry and have adopted such nefarious designs to malign the clean image of one of the best cooperative brands.
It is a matter of record that Verka Amritsar Dairy are fulfilling as statutory requirements laid down by Food Safety Standard Act Of India 2006 and accordingly all the milk and milk products are manufactured in utmost hygienic conditions with the latest standards of ISO and the safe products are manufactured by complying with the standards of HACCP. (Hazards Analysis Critical Control Point)
It is worth mentioning here that in review of the adherence of all quality parameters of the national and international markets, Verka has been awarded with prestigious quality mark by National Dairy Development Board, Anand. Verka has been practicing the best dairy practices, for which it has been awarded many a times on National forums.
It is clarified that this video has no relation with Verka, but this video has been confirmed to have been shot in suburb named Konia of Central Antonian State of Turkey. The person, who has been taking bath, has been reported to be a resident of Turkey and his name is Emre Sayar. The said video has been confirmed to have been uploaded by the resident of Turkey namely Uyurturgut. After uploading of said video both the offenders have been arrested by the Gov. of Turkey.
The above matter has already been reported by NDTV and Indian express wide their report dated 09.11.2020 and 13.11.2020 respectively.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the most trying time of Covid Pandemic 19 Verka Amritsar Dairy has handled milk as per the best quality standard of dairy and ensured quality products to its consumer. It was informed by S Gurdev Singh General Manager, Verka Amritsar Dairy that during the FY 2021-2022, in the fresh milk and milk products segment, Verka, has registered an annual growth of 18.93% in Pouch Milk sale, 45.06% in Dahi, 58.70% in Lassi and 11.47% in Kheer vis a vis the sales achievement of FY 2020-21.
The surge in sales is going unabated and Verka Amritsar Dairy has registered another milestone in sales figure during the month of April 2022, where in, Verka Amritsar Dairy, in fresh milk & milk product has registered an growth of 18% in Pouch Milk Sale, 53% in Dahi, 197% in Lassi, 15% in Paneer and 10% in Kheer vis a vis the sale achievement of corresponding period i.e. April 2021.
The depiction of the viral video clearly exhibits that the said action has been taken with malafide intention to defame and harm the growing goodwill brand Verka. Managing Director, Milkfed Punjab has got the complaint registered with Cyber Cell under Information Technology Act, 2000, so that the necessary criminal action maybe initiated against such nefarious design holders.
Verka once again apprises its esteemed consumers that Verka is a State Cooperative Organisation, which has been at the service of its milk producers for the past 50 years and has been marketing and selling top quality Milk and Milk products under the brand name Verka not only in Indian market but also in International markets. Verka takes honour to share that because of this quality assurance and delivery of safe products, it has been getting resounding response from its customers by way of getting product patronized on all fronts. This patronization has strengthened the brand goodwill and has resulted in tremendous response from customers and handsome growth in sales because of purity and high quality products.
This malicious act will harm interests of both the consumers and the farmers and will damage our efforts to eradicate the menace of adulteration of milk by unscrupulous elements.
In view of the above, Verka, makes a humble appeal to all social media platform user to help in deleting this post. Verka will also take legal action under Information Technology Act, 2000, against any social media platform user who is found to be using this malicious campaign through any social media platform under Information Technology Act, 2000.
On this occasion S Gurdev Singh General Manager, Verka Amritsar Dairy, Shri Satyendra Prasad Manager Quality Assurance, S Hajoor Singh Manager Engineering, S Pritpal Singh Sivya, S Gurpal Singh Incharge Milk Procurement, Shri Paritosh Mishra Incharge Production, S Amardeep Singh Incharge Purchase & other officers were present.
