ASSOCHAM applauds Punjab Govt move on scrapping compliances

ASSOCHAM applauds Punjab Government step to scrap 479 compliances required for seeking approvals & renewals by the Industrialists. This step will definitely promote more trade and improve ease of doing business in the state.

These compliances were part of total 541 age-old mandatory approvals identified to be scrapped for reducing burden.

Mr. Kulwin Seehra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Punjab State Development council & Executive Director, GNA Axles Ltd praised the step taken by the Government and said “Scrapping of many compliances by Shri Vini Mahajan, Hon’ble Chief Secretary, Govt. of Punjab and high level team is a very encouraging move to promote manufacturing especially for MSMEs in the state of Punjab.

This was a necessary move for ease of doing business by removing unnecessary age old compliances.”

He further added, “We are glad that the state government is closely working with industries & regulatory bodies. The high level team is working on rest of the compliances about which we will get an update in august this year, that will be a booster shot in the ease of doing business in Punjab.

Along with this, ASSOCHAM is working on providing suggestions to enhance the industrial output for the state sustainably, let’s hope for some favorable policies from the state and become a good example for the rest of the nation.”
