The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa and General Secretary Mr. Harmeet Singh Kalka today said that arrest and custodial interrogation of former President Mr. Manjit Singh GK is very essential to recover money of Guru’s golak looted by him.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. Sirsa and Mr. Kalka disclosed that in a Delhi court at Patiala House Court Judge Pawan Singh Rajawat has ordered registration of the FIR against GK, his custodial interrogation and searching of his premises to recover siphoned off money and establish money trail.
They also disclosed that the court also acknowledged the fact that GK and his PA Parmjot Jivan Singh has embezzled public money to the tune of Rs. 80 lakh besides several thousands dollors of foreign currency.
They said that the court order has made it ample clear the Manjit Singh GK looted Guru’s golak himself and through his PA Parmjot Jivan Singh.
He said that the court also observed that it is most important that GK is arrested without any further delay and his custodial interrogation should to unearth the money trail and recover the siphoned off money by him and his coterie.
The court also said that original receipts are in custody of the police and both the leaders showed copy of the vouchers and other documents of the DSGMC which proved how Mr. GK and his PA Parmjot Jivan Singh signed vouchers to take out cash payments in different installments including that of Rs. 50 lakh, Rs. 30 lakh, Rs. 13 lakh 65 thousand and thousands of dollors from the treasury of the DSGMC. They also showed how GK used pretext of going on a tour for promotion of the DSGMC.
Mr. Sirsa said that now order of the court to register FIR against GK, for his arrest, custodial interrogation and searching of his premises to recover siphoned off money has actually proved how he has done golak chori and now it is only a matter of days when sangat would know he did all this for his personal use.
The DSGMC President said that though GK is avoiding Sangat and media to answer queries on this case, the DSGMC is ready to answer each and every question of anyone who wants to know about working of the DSGMC. He said that what GK has done has ashamed the DSGMC worldwide because never sangat had seen such a loot of the Guru’s golak.
Lashing out at Sarnas whose new alliance partner, Mr. Sirsa said that it is surprising to see that they are giving clean chit to GK against whom the court has order to register FIR and arrest him and cases of corruption done during his tenure are coming out on daily basis. He said that sangat knows that Sarnas have no other motive except for grabbing power.
He said that it is a sad day in the Sikh history when a court has passed directions to arrest a former President for corruption. He said that whatever name the DSGMC has earned with its sewa is being maligned due to actions of the GK and his tenure ridden will all forms of corruption.
