Chennai, October 3, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Actor Arjun Das believes love and marriage continue to have a place in modern relationships, saying he knows people who are “truly, madly, deeply in love” and enjoying happy marriages.

Arjun Das was speaking to the media about his recently released web series #Love when he was asked whether marriage remains relevant at a time when women are increasingly independent and individuals place greater emphasis on personal freedom and space.

The actor, who has personally chosen to stay away from marriage so far, said he believes relationships can still work when partners understand and respect each other.

“I personally think it does work. Like I said, it is something personal that I choose to stay away from. I have friends of mine. I know people who are truly madly deeply in love. They are having very happy marriages,” he said.

Arjun Das noted that the growing visual and digital world has enabled people to meet and know more individuals, although building a relationship still requires time and mutual understanding.

He also said changing expectations within relationships do not necessarily undermine love.

“Women are getting independent. People want their space. But I think it has also reached a point where the understanding has grown between people,” he said.

According to the actor, couples increasingly recognise the importance of respecting each other’s space while also supporting one another’s growth and sharing a journey.

“I still think love, that is something that will always be timeless. I don’t think that is going to change,” he added.

Directed by Balaji Mohan and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth, who also serves as the showrunner, #Love stars Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles. The six-episode series is streaming on Netflix.

Set against the world of rival dating apps FOUND and Find My Bae, the series follows founders Tara and Matthew, who have built businesses around matching others while struggling to find their own connection.

Balaji Mohan has previously described the series as a contemporary take on romance, while also exploring friendship, family, ambition and self-discovery.
